March 8, 2019, is International Women's Day, a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women - while also making a call to action to accelerate gender balance.
International Women’s Day has been observed since the early 1900s and is now recognized each year on March 8. It is not affiliated with any one group, but brings together all groups. The day is marked around the world with arts performances, talks, rallies, networking events, conferences and marches.
International Women’s Day, 2019, highlights that it is time to build a gender-balanced world. However, it will not be accomplished by just women, it takes us all. Everyone has a part to play - all the time, everywhere.
